I have been following Homeschool Freebie of the Day for a few years now and I highly recommend this site, whether you are homeschooling or not. The Erskine family works hard to find some of the best free printables on the web and presents them to their readers. So I give them a round of applause and I'm so excited for the opportunity I have to give back to the community. As a second-generation homeschooler myself, I bid you all a warm welcome!

Do you want to teach a child music, but don't know where to start?  Is monotonous practice becoming a chore?  Watch this video to preview the free resources that will give music time a purposeful and fresh start.

Enter your e-mail below to give music learning time a fun and colorful makeover.

  • The Rainbow Castle game is most popular with the kids.
  • The "Piano Chord Wheel" has been my most shared printable, especially for piano teachers.  One teacher printed them out on different colored pieces of paper, which made them be very attractive piano flowers.

If you have any questions on how to use the printouts, please feel free to contact me.  I'm here to help!

About the author

Tamsyn

My name is Tamsyn and I love music. I got my bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from USU. I spent many years teaching private piano lessons until I had children of my own. I have attended several children workshops on how to teach children music. I really like the Kodaly method, but have adapted a lot of different techniques for my own children.

    1. Thanks for visiting. I’m sorry it wasn’t working for you. It is a 15 mb largish PDF file and may take a minute to download. You need a pdf reader to view it (like Adobe reader). If clicking the link doesn’t work, you can right click on the link and choose “Download linked file as…” (Safari browser) or “Save Link As” (Firefox/Chrome) and that should let you download the file.
