How to Color-Code your own music

While there are many songs on this site to help you get started, inevitably you are going to want to branch out and play some of your own music.  While manually color-coding music with crayons or colored pencils can be a daunting task, once you learn how it isn't that bad.  For the child who is still dependent on the colors but eager to play Disney, or for the teacher who wants to supplement with a lesson book, the task is worth it.

This video is a quick overview of key signatures to help you color-code the music and be able to use it with the movable-do piano insert.
