Just in time for mother’s day, comes the release of Mother Play Volume 1. This CD is a compilation of music from two books. The first is the 1906 English translation of Fredrich Froebel’s “Mutter und Koselieder”(Mother and Nursery Songs), entitled “Mother Play.” The second is from a different translation in 1895, entitled ““The songs and music of Friedrich Froebel’s Mother Play.” The second was not a direct translation, and employed new melodies with simple piano accompaniments.Special Mother’s Day sale!
