Egyptian Pyramid rhythm printable

Egyptian Pyramid

Developing fingers will delight in cutting out the rhythm squares and glueing them into this Egyptian pyramid.  Eight eighth notes at the base have the same value as four quarter notes on the second level.  Find out where they go, glue them in place and have a fun craft display for your fridge.  Alternatively, one can laminate the craft and velcro the notes onto the pyramid for an evergreen activity.

Origami Music Flashcards

"Cootie catchers" (aka, "Fortune Tellers") are a favorite origami craft and we have put our own twist on it.  Two versions, each featuring an octave in the bass and treble clefs respectively, will be a fun alternative to flashcards for your student.  Give your child one to play with it, and they won't even know they're practicing!

Piano Rummy

These cards can be used to play just about any card game you can play with a standard deck.  12 notes in the chromatic scale and four rhythmic suites.  We suggest 6 special music variations, including Piano Rummy, Chromatic Speed, Tri-Tone Solitare, Crazy A's, and more!

Rhythm Blocks

Cut out these Tetris-like shapes and practice counting rhythm from left to right and have fun counting every whole measure combination in 4/4 time possible using quarter notes, half notes, dotted half notes, and whole note.

Our final activity is another cut-and-paste craft. Cut out the squares and arrange them from big to small in relation to their time value.  Then paste them in place and have something fun to put on the fridge and remind children what they learned every time they walk by.
