Music from Froebel's original Kindergarten curriculum
Volume 1 CD is available here: www.teaching-children-music.com/2012/05/new-cd-release
Original "Mother Play", as translated in English in (1906), can be found here: http://www.archive.org/details/motherplaynurser00froe
Additional music from "The songs and music of Friedrich Froebel's Mother play", (1895) can be found here: http://www.archive.org/details/songsandmusicfr00blowgoog
This additional text is nice because some of Froebel's original music was hard for the average music teacher to sing. These songs have melodies often based on classical and folk music, and have charming piano accompaniments.
Additional commentary on these pieces came from "Notes on Froebel's Mother-play songs", (1914), which can be found here:http://www.archive.org/details/notesonfroebelsm00arnouoft
For ease of use, I have started a project of combining these resources and sorting them by song, as numbered by Froebel. Check back for updates!
I. Play with the Limbs
II. Falling, Falling!
